Newton Unified School District provides parenting classes for parents of students with special needs. These classes are designed to support parents who often struggle with parenting responsibilities. Limited to seven couples (both parents attend), class materials are available in both Spanish and English.

Mary Beasley, Assistant Director of Special Education for the NewtonUnified School District, said that the District has budget funds for only two six week classes, but the Book ReViews grant will make it possible to have Parenting Classes the whole school year.

Many thanks to all who support Book ReViews. Come buy books for your summer reading so we can continue to support great local nonprofit agencies!
